Port Elizabeth in Yellow Pages Series athletics fever mode

Wearing Yellow Pages gear, the athletes have been difficult to miss as they have made their way around Port Elizabeth in conducting motivational talks at several schools, as well as being part of development clinics and other promotional event activities.

“Yellow Pages is proud to continue as a loyal sponsor of track and field in SA, in our bid to provide sports fans with a proud family fun-filled sports entertainment package that entrenches the Yellow Pages Series as a not-to-be-missed date on the sports calendar,” said Thabo Seopa.

Seopa further said that the Yellow Pages Series gives SA’s sports-loving people the chance to come to the stadiums around the country to watch their athletics heroes in action. “It also serves as a platform for new talent to come to the fore and compete at a national level. It is this new talent that will go on to become household names and role models across all communities, most notably to the youth of our nation.”

All eyes will be on the Yellow Pages ‘Athlete of the Meet’ scoreboard which will display the points scored by the participants, with the best performance by a  male and female athlete at each of the six Yellow Pages Series meetings set to take home R15 000.

At the end of the series, the top male and female athletes with the most points can look forward to walking away with R100 000 with the compliments of Yellow Pages.

After the event in the Eastern Cape, the Yellow Pages Series will continue with its coastal journey with KwaZulu Natal athletics enthusiasts getting a chance to get a taste of the action in the second leg of the series at the Kings Park athletics stadium in Durban on Friday, February 26.
