Our Executive Team

Thabo Seopa - [Managing Director]
Thabo Seopa started his career as a Trainee Accountant at SA Breweries and spent time training on all aspects of the accounting profession. He went on to hold various financial management positions at companies like NSB and Tongaat Hulett. He then decided to change his career and venture into the world of finance after qualifying as a stockbroker. He spent his investment banking years at two of the big global investment banks HSBC Investment Banking and UBS. After seven years in Investment Banking he was appointed the Managing Director of Trudon (Pty) Ltd in April 2002.

Johan Myburgh - [Chief Financial Officer]
Johan Myburgh was appointed the Chief Financial Officer in January 2002. Prior to joining Trudon (Pty) Ltd, he worked for Telkom SA in various financial positions of which the last was as an executive.

Ndaba Nkomo - [General Manager: Customer Fulfilment]
Ndaba Nkomo was appointed GM: Customer Fulfilment in March 2010. Prior to joining Trudon, he held the position of Sales Director at Accenture. He also has extensive experience holding senior positions at Multichoice such as Senior Consultant and Senior Business Analyst/ Integration Engineer respectively.


Marlon Hitzeroth - [General Manager: Sales]
Prior to occupying his current position, Marlon Hitzeroth was GM of Business Development when he joined Trudon (Pty) Ltd in March 2006. His previous employment was at New Africa Publications as Head of Sales and Trade Marketing. Before that, he spent eight years with the Independent Newspapers SA in a variety of positions including those of Managing Editor - Editorial Projects and Group Marketing Manager.

Franco Berluti - [General Manager: Strategy and Business Development]
Franco Berluti is currently the GM for Strategy and Business Development after being GM: Operations in 2002. In October 2003 he was appointed GM for IT. Prior to joining Trudon (Pty) Ltd he worked as an IT Consultant to different companies such as International Computer Limited, Namcol and Amtech. He also worked as a Manager for AECI Explosives and Atlas Aircraft, as a Systems Engineer.


Mashudu Malivha - [General Manager: Human Capital]
Mashudu has a BA Honours and a Master of Science degree (Clinical Psychology). She has extensive experience holding senior positions in HR working for multinational companies like Reckitt and Coleman, Henkel SA, DeBeers and Holcim. Mashudu started her HR career at the Development Bank of South Africa.

Lionel Smith - [General Manager: Marketing]
Lionel Smith is currently GM: Marketing after being GM: Online and Search. He joined Trudon in May 2003 as Head of New Business Development. Prior to joining Trudon (Pty) Ltd, he worked as Quality Assurance Analyst for Epic Oil Mills, Brewing Process Manager for SAB Miller, General Manager: Operations for NSB, Capacity and Investment Planning Manager for Spoornet and General Manager: Sales and Business Development for MTN.


Adriaan van Vuuren - [General Manager: Information Technology]
Adriaan van Vuuren was appointed as GM for IT from January 1 2009. He joined Trudon (Pty) Ltd in 2002 as a Systems Development Manager. He then became Project Manager and was later promoted to Senior Manager: IT. For two years before that, he was a consultant to the company. Adriaan holds a BSc Honours (Information Technology) degree from the University of Pretoria and a Masters in Business Leadership from UNISA. Prior to joining Trudon (Pty) Ltd, he was employed at Quality Business Consultants.

Robert Oregan - [General Manager: Customer Care]
Robert Oregan was appointed GM: Customer Care in 2006 after being GM of Operations and GM of Sales. He was also the Regional Sales Manager and National Production Manager for Trudon. Prior to joining the company, he worked for Standard Bank South Africa.

Chris Deeks - [General Manager: Online and Search]

Chris Deeks was appointed GM: Online and Search in April 2010. Chris started his career at Avusa Media (then TML) in 1994 and then moved on to be the Art Director of the Sunday Times Magazine. He then moved into the fledgling online department at the Sunday Times Magazine where he built consumer media websites.  A long stint at I-Net Bridge followed in various roles, the last being Product Manager. He then moved back into Avusa Media taking over the running of the Online Newsroom.
